**About this role**

This newly identified position on Noongar Country will be responsible for supporting Arup’s commitment to employment and career pathways. The Indigenous Australian Careers Adviser will be responsible for liaising with local employment and training partners, TAFE and tertiary institutions, in identifying, attracting and supporting First Nations people to thrive at Arup.

**What will I do?**
- Engage with local employment providers, TAFE and higher education on building long and meaningful relationships to support Indigenous Australian employment at Arup
- Represent Arup at community meetings, forums and events associated with Indigenous Australians employment
- Be instrumental in connecting Indigenous Australian students with career paths at Arup and support sustainable career development
- Assist the Arup Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group in the ongoing development and delivery of the Arup Indigenous Employment and Development Strategy
- Coach and provide support, advice and guidance to local Hiring Managers and Team Leaders to ensure effective hiring decisions and consistent approaches to recruitment activity and career development for Indigenous Australians

**What will I bring?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in
or similar area;
- Relevant industry experience in
within a consulting business environment;
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines - and Arup’s related procedures including OH&S
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments;
- Ability to maintain personal effectiveness particularly during periods of higher than normal workload;
