Given current market growth, Genneral Staircase is seeking a Timber Trades Assistant to join our highly dynamic team. This position reports to the Timber Production Manager. The Role: - Assist the tradespersons in the performance of their duties - Measuring & cutting timber - Assemble timber components & preparing surfaces Essential Requirements: - Ability to work unsupervised (essential) - Maintain effective communications with team members & members of other departments - Excellent work ethic - honesty, reliability and punctuality - Attention to a very high level of detail - Positive "win-win" attitude and ability to work in a team or autonomously - Drivers license and own transport (preferred but not essential) - Be able to lift up to 25kg Qualifications & Skill: - No formal qualification is required for this role however previous experience in timber manufacturing or school wood shop would be an advantage **Benefits**: - Long-term stability of employment - Permanent Full-time role - Ability to learn new skills - Opportunities to grow within the business - Uniform provided after completion of probation - Profit Sharing This is an excellent opportunity for the right person Genneral Staircase are an equal opportunity employer **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Referral program Schedule: - 8 hour shift Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay - Penalty rates
