**About the opportunity**:
As an Investment Analyst, you will work in close collaboration with the Head of Strategy and Investments to identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities in the aged care, retirement living, social and affordable housing, and home services sectors. Your responsibilities will include supporting various acquisition opportunities, as well as providing assistance with debt raising and other strategic initiatives.
Working closely with senior executives, you will evaluate investment opportunities for growth through unsolicited proposals and formal sale processes. You will develop financial models and liaise with internal and external stakeholders (eg. vendor, financial advisers and consultants) to ensure that they accurately reflect the expected operating model of the target. Additionally, your expertise in incorporating market data from external sources will ensure that our understanding of price and value is in line with current market trends.
**About the team**:
BaptistCare’s Strategy and Investment Team have set in place a plan to double the size of the organisation within 5 years. At its current trajectory, they expect to achieve this for Residential and Retirement business stream in under 3 years.
**About you**:
To be considered, you will have:
- Economics or business degree with demonstrated 3- 5 years’ experience in financial analysis in corporate advisory, transaction services, or equivalent large corporate
- CFA/CA, Masters of Applied Finance
- Advanced financial modelling skills including proven experience creating financial models within a corporate finance setting (3-way, DCF, merger models)
- Detailed oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledgeable in corporate finance concepts (including valuation techniques such as IRR, NPV)
- Experience in conducting market research and due diligence
- Experience in Aged Care, Home Care or real estate transactions highly regarded, however not essential
- Genuine alignment to BaptistCare’s vision, purpose and values.
