The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support (CPBS) is a leading national organisation that believes in making behaviour support services accessible to everyone that needs them. Position Purpose
Reporting to the National Clinical Director, the Regional Clinical Manager (RCM) is responsible for leading, managing and providing supervision to a regional team of Senior Behaviour Support Practitioners (Senior BSPs). The RCM will provide a high level of supervision to the Senior BSPs, high level collaboration with NDIS Commission and client groups, clinical framework development and evaluation of clinical program outcomes, and contribute to best practice in the field of psychological science and Applied Behaviour Analysis. In addition, this role will be responsible for undertaking business development activities for their region, working closely in collaboration with the Business Development Manager to increase client base. The work is based on the principles of organisational behaviour management, Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.
Due to the diverse nature of the role, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Contribute to peer reviewed research and evaluation of the CPBS clinical programme
- Practice high level mediation skills when liaising with senior government officials within the NDIS Commission, and State and Territory officials
- Participation in internal Agency Quality Review meetings and activities
- Ensure practitioners and therapists are operating under industry compliance standards, legislative requirements, and organisational policies and are maintaining ethical practices including but not limited to attaining NDIS compliance checks, maintaining professional registrations, Work Health and Safety and risk management requirements
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through conference attendances, review of professional publications and meeting all required continuing education credits
- Ensure a high level workflow management including organisation and management of self, Senior BSPs and regional teams
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager in the undertaking of regional business development planning and implementation
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in clinical practice service delivery and professional development of practitioners for various clinical roles
- Determine recruitment and workforce planning needs based on objective data
- Contribute to the learning and development strategy and framework for clinical teams
- Undertake performance development activities including performance reviews for team members
Essential
- Post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis
- Extensive experience working with people with severe challenging behaviours
- Demonstrated experience managing large teams using highly refined leadership skills, including knowledge and understanding of contemporary HR practices
- Demonstrated capacity to process large amounts of data/information with speed, synthesise and operationalise
- Excellent level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise complex reports
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to Senior Behaviour Support Practitioners
- Substantial experience providing Positive Behaviour Support services
- Extensive knowledge of federal and/or territory legislation and process related to restricted practice.
- Valid driver licence
- Ability to attain all mandatory compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Criminal History Check and any relevant State-issued WWCC/WWVP cards
