**Description**:
About the role
We are looking for someone with experience and/or willing to learn with a mechanical aptitude.
Reporting to the National Plant & Equipment Manager.
Your job responsbilities
You'll be responsible for maintaining the company's assets, and ensuring all equipment is fully functional and safe to operate. Ensuring timely servicing, maintenance, and repair of plant and equipment;
- Undertake scheduled maintenance of equipment and machinery to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure timely closeout of planned maintenance work and maintain quality records when required by procedural documentation.
- Receive and action specialised maintenance jobs from the Plant and Equipment Manager.
- Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns, with the aim of minimising downtime.
- Implement design concepts and projects as required.
- Respond to general housekeeping requirements and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
What we require/Skills & Requirements
- Trades certificate (Mechanical Fitter).
- Mechanical aptitude and fabrication experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Current drivers licence.
- Current forklift licence (desired, not essential).
- Sound commitment to Safety.
- Strong problem-solving analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Motivated worker with a good attitude.
