Broad ranging Middle OfficeE Role - Small, friendly well tenured local team in a Global IB - CBD office with flex working / amazing growth opportunity **THE ROLE -** The Middle Office Associate role will support various divisions of the Investment Bank, (Sydney Branch) including - Energy, Real Assets, Real Estate, Acquisition Finance, Corporate and Leverage Finance as well as Financial Institutions. This includes the provision and maintenance of the various middle office systems, KYC on-boarding and periodic reviews as well as various internal and external reporting requirements. 1. Maintenance of Middle Office (MO) Systems - Maintenance and management of the various internal Middle Office systems used for: Booking of new transactions and on-going maintenance of good data quality. Monitoring and reporting outstanding covenants (with a specific focus on financial covenants) in MO systems, monitor the upkeep of securities and the sign-off of technical and financial milestones. Maintain diary systems to ensure all actions on the portfolio are monitored. Monitor the syndication process for updating MO systems as and when needed. Ensure Middle Office / Back Office Reconciliations are completed on a timely and accurate basis for Global HQ and Risk. 2. - Completion of new KYC on-boarding requirements and KYC periodic reviews. - Prepare the quarterly movement report for the Front Office and Global HQ. - Report outstanding covenants to Front Office, Risk and FCS management. - Any other relevant analysis / reporting. - Managing drawdown’s and repayments, liaising with Front / Back Office. - Prepare audit responses, when required. - Ensure that ad hoc queries relating to deals (e.g. payment instructions, follow-up queries on payments etc) are dealt with in an accurate and timely manner. 3. MO Agency functions - Agency related duties will be added to MO responsibilities when the bank adds an Agency function. These responsibilities will include: To ensure the Agency function is able to fulfil all Agency related obligations under relevant Transaction/Finance Documents. Main point of contact and coordination between the borrower, legal (as necessary) and all other syndicate members. Provide input into and agree the agency fee with Front Office. Liaise with the borrowers to ensure they fulfil their responsibilities. Oversee and manage the establishment of the contacts list and Intralinks/Debtdomain sites. Monitor and ensure that all Conditions Precedent of the deal are met. Liaise with the Syndicate to coordinate payments. Manage any waiver requests. Monitor compliance with covenants and distribution of information to the syndicate. 4. MO Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities - Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including - the Australian Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures, Financial Security requirements, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer. - Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence. **YOU -** - Degree qualified or other relevant qualification. - Minimum 2 years of experience in financial field with experience in financing operations, transaction management. - Ability to multi task and meet multiple deadlines, work within a dynamic and evolving environment. - Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
