Creative Lifestyle Assistant

**Your passion for making a difference can bring joy, dignity, and connection to those in our aged care residents. We are looking for our next Lifestyle Assistant 25 hours/week for a part time role at Tabeel Aged Care in Laidley.**

**About You**

You’re someone who thrives on building meaningful connections and improving the quality of life for older citizens. Whether you’ve worked in aged care, mental health, disability services, or supported someone personally, your empathy and creativity are your greatest assets in this role.

You’ll excel in this role if you:

- Enjoy designing and delivering engaging activities that make people feel valued and connected.
- Have a talent for understanding individual needs and tailoring programs to suit people with different personalities and a variety of cognitive and physical abilities.
- Are patient, compassionate, and genuinely committed to improving the lives of people living with dementia.
- A formal qualification in leisure and lifestyle, health, arts, music therapy, occupational therapy, or a related field is a plus.

**What You’ll Do**

As a **Lifestyle Assistant**, you’ll bring your creativity and heart to create enriching experiences for our residents. Your work will make every day brighter for those in your care.

You will:

- **Get to know each resident** by learning about their interests, history, and personal preferences to design meaningful activities.
- **Plan and deliver engaging programs**, both one-on-one and in groups, that promote social connection, wellbeing, and joy.
- **Support community engagement** by identifying opportunities for residents to connect with the wider world.
- **Collaborate with families and team members** to ensure programs align with residents’ unique needs.
