Disability Support Worker

Provide support to patients with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Providing support and training in accordance with relevant government legislation.
- Understanding of the Person-centred Framework and Trauma Informed approaches.
- Ability to be flexible, strong, and resilient in various challenging situations.
- Demonstrate good listening skills and build rapport and trust between participants.
- Ensuring all medication administration is undertaken according to legislation and ADCS Policies & procedures.
- Transporting participants to appointments, work & daily activities.
- Support participants with maintaining the home environment/general duties.
- Completing reports, updating records and compliance reports. The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $30.61 - $42.61 per year
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
Work Location: In person
