Our client based in **Clayton **are seeking an **Environmental/Sustainability Coordinator **to join their team on a **full-time basis.** As a coordinator you will play a crucial role in advancing their commitment to the environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Your responsibilities will be aimed around reducing landfill waste, optimising recycling processes whilst ensuring compliance is in line with environmental and sustainability regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Landfill Reduction -** Collaborating, developing, and implementing strategies with internal teams to reduce landfill waste and identifying waste diversion programs.

**HACCCP Development and Maintenance**:

- Regularly developing and updating the below plans and analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop hazard analysis,
- Critical Control Point Plans (HACCP)

**ICSS Certification and Compliance -** Maintaining and upholding 'Integrated Certification of Sustainability Standards' with the ability to coordinate and participate in in audits.

**Council Permit Compliance - **Liaising with local council to ensure the site operates in line with local requirements and permits and promptly advising authorities when applicable.

**Authority Inspection Coordination**:

- Liaising with inspectors whilst being the first point of contact for regulatory authorities to ensure smooth process in addressing findings promptly.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field (Desirable)
- Knowledge of waste management regulatory requirements and best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with certification process (e.g ICSS, HACCP) is advantageous

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift

- Diploma (preferred)
