The Communications and Marketing (CAM) section is responsible for marketing, advertising, media, publishing and brand management, focused on promoting the Memorial, its mission and the National Collection. Corporate partnerships and fundraising functions are also administered by the CAM team to help support organisational sustainability. The CAM team comprises of 12 members across these professional streams, ranging from multiple APS3-EL2 levels.
Under broad direction from the Marketing and Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing campaigns and activity for the Memorial’s brand, exhibitions, projects, events and commemorative activities to attract visitors to the Memorial and engage stakeholders with our various digital and offsite offerings (such as touring exhibitions). This is achieved through traditional and digital advertising, activations and activity with stakeholders, and the creation of marketing collateral and materials.

As the Memorial beings the roll out of Salesforce, the Communication and Marketing Officer will facilitate platform development across stakeholder and event management needs, assist in its administration and operation, and support the embedding of the CRM across the organisation.

You will be required to develop productive relationships with stakeholders such as graphic designers, print and advertising agencies, liaise with ACT tourism sector stakeholders, keep informed of ACT and national events and recommend opportunities to support marketing initiatives. You will assist the CAM team by helping manage media, VIPs and guests at Memorial events. Some after hours and weekend work will be required.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate high levels of initiative, and work collaboratively as a member of the team to deliver quality outcomes while working under pressure in a high performing environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Under broad direction:

- Plan and execute traditional and digital marketing campaigns for the Memorial. Managing small-medium digital marketing initiatives on the Memorial’s owned channels (web content, social media marketing, Google Ads, EDMs);
- Liaising with external digital marketing agencies to deliver bespoke or larger integrated campaigns across digital, traditional, and out-of-home channels;
- Draft a range of written material including some web and social media content, EDM content, creative briefs for agencies, stakeholder communications, and Executive correspondence;
- Create and manage content and design of marketing collateral for print and digital channels, inlcuding liaising with external agencies to produce required brands, respective assets, and publications;
- Play an active role in monitoring, reporting and evaluating marketing campaigns;
- Undertake event management planning and delivery duties, working in collaboration with other members of the CAM team and internal stakeholders to deliver quality event and stakeholder engagement outcomes for the Memorial;
- Liaise and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects within tight budgets and deadlines;
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance and development of the Memorial’s CRM system, ensuring built functionality aligns with the needs of the organisation, and goals and objectives for successful stakeholder and event management requirements;
- Manage relationships with tourism industry stakeholders to maintain and develop the Memorial’s high public profile and identify opportunities to increase visitation to the Memorial, and engagement with digital and offsite offerings;
- Perform other administrative, marketing, and brand activities as required by Marketing and Partnerships Manager.
