IPC Granite are looking for experienced Industrial Designers to join our team within our Head office located in Lonsdale SA.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all in-house Industrial Design plans, design, develop and document industrial, commercial or consumer products for manufacture with particular emphasis on ergonomic (human) factors, marketing considerations and manufacturability, and prepare designs and specifications of products for mass or batch production through to CNC programing, where the expectation of performance, quality and customer service are met.

**About You Industrial Design**

The role requires you to have outstanding skills in all aspects in Industrial design coupled with CNC programing using AutoCad. You would need to be currently working in the trade and be able to undertake a high standard of detail and accuracy.
- Formulate design concepts for industrial, commercial and consumer products
- Prepare designs, sketches, diagrams, illustrations, plans, samples and models to communicate design concepts to manufacturing team
- Negotiate design solutions with clients, management, sales and manufacturing staff
- Select, specifies and recommends functional and aesthetic materials, production methods and finishes for manufacture
- Detail and documents the selected design for production
- Estimate manufacturing limits and time frames to provide a continual work flow
- Undertake product research and analyses functional, commercial, cultural and aesthetic requirements
- Prepare and commissions prototypes and samples
- Supervise the preparation of patterns, programmes and tooling, and the manufacture Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Determine the objectives and constraints of the design brief by consulting with clients and stakeholders
- A hands on attitude, strong problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
- A strong commitment to health and safety and the ability to secure a White Card
- Be well presented as you will be attending client homes
- Have the ability and demonstrate common sense approach to large projects.

Specifically you must possess the following skills
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 years of work experience as a industrial designer.
- Assess job plan and potential issues that may need to be rectified
- Measure and allow for necessary clearances and tolerances
- Select Stone for suitability and inspect for defects
- Drafting a design patterns and templates
- Experienced and skilled in AutoCad, and design
- At least 3 years experience CNC Programing
- Work under pressure during busy times.
- Be willing to learn new skills, with the right attitude

**Stone Installer**
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Provide evidence of experience.
- Ability to work with natural and artificial stone.
- Capable of polishing stone
- Read plans and specifications
- Stack and handle stone of various sizes in a safe manner.
- Liaise with customers during installation and answer trade specific questions.
- Be able to lead a team of workers and take charge.
- Flexible in working hours during peak seasons

All successful applicants will be required to complete a criminal background check and provide a current National Police Clearance.

**Job Type**: Full Time, Permanent

Basic Schedule

8 hours per day 5 days per week

Salary - ranging from $72,000 to $80,000 depending on experience

Pay: $72,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
