Telecom Technician

As a Telecommunications Technician at Fibre Trade, you'll be working across a range of commercial and infrastructure projects, installing and testing fibre optic networks and structured cabling systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of network installations using well-known cabling systems like Garland, SYSTIMAX, and Panduit.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and test fibre optic cables
• Install and terminate Cat6/6A structured cabling
• Read and interpret site plans and schematics
• Perform fault finding and rectification on fibre and copper networks
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
• Work both independently and within a small team
• Travel as required to project sites across SA and occasionally interstate

Requirements

• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Open Cabling Registration License
• Solid experience with Garland, SYSTIMAX, and Panduit cabling systems
• Proven skills in fibre optic splicing, testing, and structured cabling
• Willingness to travel for project work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Valid driver's license preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $72,960.00 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
