The role Reporting to the Manager, Portfolio Strategy, you will align your efforts with the Queensland Public Service Capability and Leadership Framework, taking on the responsibility of delivering timely and meticulously researched strategic advice to senior management within the Reform Office of Queensland Health and the Minister for Health. Your duties will involve spearheading the development and execution of a state-wide reform agenda. This includes conducting in-depth health system research, analysing qualitative and quantitative data, and critically evaluating information to pinpoint future reform priorities for Queensland Health.
You will be instrumental in shaping policy decisions, governance strategies, and service planning initiatives based on evidence from international, national, and state contexts. Additionally, your role will encompass managing investment practices and benefits realization reporting, fostering collaborations across the Reform Office and stakeholders to enhance benefits management practices, and nurturing strong communication channels with both internal and external partners.
The successful personTo excel in this position, you must possess strong leadership qualities and the capability to offer precise and timely guidance on intricate matters. Your written communication abilities should be of a superior level, enabling you to craft meticulous documentation, including succinct briefs, accurate reports, discussion papers, and submissions.
Furthermore, you should demonstrate advanced conceptual, analytical, and innovative thinking skills. Your capacity to devise adaptable and responsive solutions for complex issues, manage portfolios, programs, and projects, conduct research and evaluations, interpret trends, and provide comprehensive analysis of reports and documents is crucial. Additionally, your role involves offering informed advice on policies, strategies, and actions.
