**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Summary of the role**:Werribee Mercy Hospital is a public hospital servicing the growing community of the west with an exciting growth strategy which will lay the foundation for future service expansion.

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and suitably qualified lactation consultant to join our multi-disciplinary team based at Werribee Mercy Hospital.

We provide quality client care with a focus on the individual feeding needs of the term, sick or pre term infant.
- The Lactation Consultant will provide clinical breastfeeding knowledge and skills to Maternity/Neonatal and Hospital in the Home services (HITH).
- The successful applicant will be part of a friendly, supportive, and experienced Lactation Consultant team.
- Part Time 0.4 EFT

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Certification as an International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or working towards completing the exam this year (Oct)
- Recently qualified LCs will be fully supported in this role
- Relevant clinical experience in midwifery, neonatal and lactation consultancy
- Recent experience in managing the feeding needs and capabilities of the sick or pre term infant
- Demonstrated clinical and interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a supportive and enthusiastic team
- You will strive towards providing high quality evidenced care; Improving breastfeeding outcomes for women and their babies.
