**About Hachi & Co**:
Hachi & Co are responsible for providing brand consistency, delivering all program offerings, and maintaining operational standards within the Hachi & Co product categories from pet day-care training, behavioural consult, group training classes as well as training walks. As we continue to grow and develop our services, we are seeking a senior pet trainer to help us grow our business further.
**Position Summary**:
The Senior Pet Trainers will play an important role in our facility, as they are accountable for consistent achievement of quality pet training outcomes whilst educating and engaging pet owners. You must be committed to, and show a genuine interest in, enhancing communication and teamwork between dog and owners by offering positive solutions and rewarding success while providing a fun and safe environment. Providing owners with exceptional Pet Training instruction and customer service is a core responsibility of this role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Designing and implementing training programs to teach animals to obey verbal and non-verbal commands.
- Assessing and addressing complex behavioural problems in dogs, providing tailored intervention plans.
- Training animals to a high standard for participation in competitions and performance events.
- Conducting comprehensive animal care duties including bathing, styling pets’ coats, clipping nails, and cleaning ears to ensure their comfort and health.
- Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene by inspecting, preparing, cleaning, and disinfecting animal enclosures.
- Ensuring the individual dietary and hydration needs of each animal are met.
- Meticulously maintaining animal health records, administering treatments for minor injuries, managing pest control, and reporting serious conditions to Veterinarians.
- Leading exercise, socialisation, and play sessions with animals, and providing information to visitor questions.
**Applicant Requirements**:
- Must have a minimum of a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of two years of professional experience as a pet trainer is required.
- Proven skills in implementing training strategies based on established animal behaviourmethodologies for individual pets.
- Highly motivated by providing solutions, pet training skills/techniques with superiorcustomer service to pet owners.
- Demonstrate clear and concise communication skills with pets and junior trainers andcustomers.
- Effectively work without direct supervision.
- An ability to train junior trainers to up-skill their knowledge.
Pay: $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
