NES Fircroft is parterned with a leading chemical manufacturer on their search for an E&I Project Officer to join the team on an initial 12 month contract which will possibly extend or become a permanent role.

This role will be located at the client's SOR manufacturing facility and will have a great mix of technical, projects and people focus.

Some duties and responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing a range of small/medium electrical and mechanical projects (value $10k - $250k)
- Ensure capital project implementation and special maintenance tasks are planned and executed in line with customers and stakeholders’ requirements
- Assist with the management of site implementation contracts, ensuring scopes of work are accurate and that contractor site work performance is managed as per contract terms
- Develop scopes of work planning and issuing of permits
- Ensure project site activities are planned and carried out in line with relevant environmental procedures
- Manage consultants and contractors while carrying out work related to operations/maintenance or capital projects
- Award contracts for supply of good and services in line with company policies

What you'll need to succeed:

- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Demonstrable experience in electrical installation or maintenance within mining, chemical, or mineral processing industries
- Proven experience managing multiple small scale projects and dealing with competing priorities
- In-depth understanding of project management fundamentals
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business as well as with external parties
