Room Leader

**About the Role**

Balmain Care For Kids' is seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join our dynamic team in Balmain, NSW. As a full-time Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and educational programs for children in our long daycare centre.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a team of early childhood educators
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing and supervision of all children in your care
- Maintain accurate records, observations and documentation of children's learning and development
- Foster positive relationships with children, families and the broader community
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the centre's policies, procedures and practices
- Comply with all relevant regulations, legislation and industry standards

**What We're Looking For**
- Certificate 3, Diploma or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education - qualification isn't as important to us as experience and passion are
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Room Leader or in a similar supervisory role in a long daycare setting
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and current best practices in early childhood education
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications
- NSW Working With Children Check
- Child Protection training

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
