About the role
The role of the Health Promotion Officer - Cancer Screening is to increase awareness of and engagement in breast and bowel cancer prevention and early detection behaviours, and maximise participation in breast and bowel cancer screening within the West Moreton Health catchment through the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of multi-strategy, multi-sector, health promotion programs and strategies, in line with relevant national, state and departmental policy directions. The role is a key information and resource contact for general practitioners and other health care providers.
About you
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and partners to build public health and health promotion capacity by utilising high level communication skills to advocate and promote the health and wellbeing of individuals and the community.
- Ability to contribute to organisational quality and performance standards by providing advice to key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of evidence-based health promotion strategies in line with the most up to date evidence, while respecting the dignity, culture, values, beliefs and rights of individuals and populations.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
