CARLIGHT Caravans and Trailers is a leading provider of new caravans, trailer parts, and accessories. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services to our customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Product and Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team.

**About the role**

We are currently recruiting for a motivated individual to join our Production and Service Department. Working alongside the Business Manager you will be responsible for the smooth operations of our parts store, procurement processes, and overall quality management. This role is varied, exciting and challenging. Your organisational, administrative and customer-focused attitude will prepare you well for this role.

This position is Monday-Friday; minimum 22.5 hours per week. The specific work hours can be negotiable around your existing commitments.

**Parts Procurement**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify parts and components needed for new vehicles and ongoing customer support.
- Research, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers based on cost-effectiveness, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the company.
- Place orders, monitor order status, and manage delivery schedules to meet production and customer requirements.

**Inventory Management**:

- Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts and components, ensuring optimal stock levels to support production and customer demands.
- Implement inventory tracking systems and regular audits to prevent stockouts and overages.
- Coordinate with the sales and service teams to forecast parts demand and plan procurement accordingly.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Develop and enforce quality standards for parts and components, ensuring they meet the company's specifications and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular quality checks on incoming parts to identify any defects or deviations from standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement.

**Supplier Relationship Management**:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and effective collaboration.
- Monitor supplier performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide feedback for improvement.
- Anticipate potential supply chain disruptions and work proactively to mitigate risks.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier communications, and quality assessments.
- Generate reports on procurement status, inventory levels, and quality metrics for management review.
- Contribute to the development of procurement and quality-related policies and procedures.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree (or study in) Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, and quality assurance within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to automotive parts.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: $57,203.78 - $115,885.64 per year
