- To provide effective administration that assists in the delivery of the TAC L2P Program’s within the Bendigo and Macedon Ranges region in line with the funding agreement.
- Working within a community development framework, the L2P Support Officer will assist in the coordination of mentors and young people.
- The L2P Support Officer will work closely with the local Police, community agencies, driving schools and the wider community to ensure the successful implementation of the L2P Program.

Why this role matters

The L2P Program - is a volunteer based road safety program, assisting learner drivers who do not have access to a supervising driver to obtain the required 120 hours of supervised driving to enable them to present for the probationary licence test.

The Bendigo Corps L2P program operates within Bendigo Corps Community Services (BCCS) which operates within the Bendigo Corps part of the North Victoria Area within the Victoria Division of The Salvation Army (TSA).

As an L2P Support Office you will provide effective administration that assists in the delivery of the TAC L2P Program’s within the Bendigo and Macedon Ranges region in line with the funding agreement as well as assist in the coordination of mentors and young people.

The role you could play
- Support the implementation of specific guidelines for the L2P programs
- Support the recruitment and development of Volunteer Mentors that work with L2P clients
- Work with referrals around intake and support the case management of young people in the programs
- Work with L2P program in managing vehicle bookings
- Liaise with referring case workers to ensure the wellbeing needs of the young people are being communicated, outcomes and reporting needs are being met
- Support the relationships between case workers and mentors, including where required the case worker attending first 2 lessons

What you will bring
- Diploma qualification in Community Support work or related field and relevant experience in a community service environment
- Demonstrated sound understanding of current issues affecting young people including risk-taking behaviour and ability to engage at risk young people
- A current and valid Working with Children’s Check
- Current VIC Drivers licence
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
