Mc Driver Required

Opportunities exist for a keen and reliable MC Driver to join our team. We are seeking a motivated and well organised driver to join our team.

**THE ROLE**
- Operate a prime mover and trailers, including hooking up and dropping trailers, opening and closing trailer curtains and lifting and moving trailer gates
- Complete all necessary paperwork including pre-start checks, run sheets, log book, daily timesheets etc
- Must have common sense, listen and follow directions
- Must have at least bare minimum CoR knowledge or be willing to undertake training to ensure safety and confidence in freight hauling
- Involves customer service both with general public and other carriers

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- MC driver's licence & good driving history
- Forklift licence not mandatory, but would be highly regarded
- Physically fit to work in a fast paced work environment and position.
- Position involved some lifting, including trailer gates, so applicant must be physically strong enough to safely perform their duties
- Applicants must be capable of lifting and have a reasonable fitness to perform this kind of manual work repetitively (opening and closing curtains, hooking up and dropping trailers, moving gates on trailers)
- Ability to use GPS navigation as needed, in a time efficient, organised manner
- Applicant must be a team player and be able to work well both within the team and independently. Our team focus's on helping each other when they can and within their skill set, even if the task is not their usual responsibility
- Applicant must have some customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
- Applicant must have reasonable communication, literacy and numeracy skill levels to be able to perform this duties of this role to a minimum standard and complete all relevant paperwork as per driving legisation
- Applicant must have an excellent work ethic with a "can do" attitude
- Applicant must have excellent time management skills
- Applicant must be well presented and be able to pass random drug and alcohol testing
- Applicant must be able to follow all company processes, procedures and training including WHS. Safety is our number one focus and you will be expected to follow all legal and safety requirements at all times on site, whilst driving and on site at other locations.
- Applicant must be aware of and adhere to fatigue management and other NHVL guidelines including Chain of Responsibility
- Applicant must be able to accurately follow directions at all times

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Do you have previous experience adhering to all NHVR CoR requirements?
- Have you ever been fined or charged for any type of NHVR violation or mistake? If yes, please detail.
- Have you had any previous injuries that may be aggravated whilst performing the duties required of this position?
- Do you have a valid MC Drivers Licence (or above) and if yes - please supply the level of licence (HR, MC etc) and how many years you have held that highest class of licence?
