The role

Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas Business Unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia.

Reporting to the Spring Gully Facilities Supervisor, the Multi skilled Facilities Operator is responsible for best practice plant operations, as well as assisting the Multi-Skilled Mechanical and I&E teams.

You will help ensure the availability of all equipment that it is operated in a safe and reliable condition, in accordance with relevant operating procedures, agreed maintenance philosophies and schedules, with a view to maximising efficiency and reliability for the life of the asset.
- This is a live local role 2/2 role. This means you must currently reside within or relocate to the Maranoa Regional Council. Relocation allowance provided._

Planning operational activities including preparation of JSEAs and Permits to ensure smooth work execution.

Troubleshooting rotating and other mechanical equipment to return equipment to service

Planning and executing planned preventative operational maintenance activities

Reviewing operating and maintenance procedures and advise on operational content.

Supporting incident investigations and emergency response.

About you

You have a high level of self-motivation with an ability to work well within a multidisciplinary, integrated team. You have strong interpersonal skills, and your level of safety awareness is exemplary.
- Experience with Gas process and Water Treatment maintenance
- Experienced Process Operator - Cert 3 Process Operations (Desirable)
- Experience in mechanical maintenance advantageous
- Gas engine, rotating equipment knowledge, high pressure compression and/or complex control systems experience highly regarded.
- Sound Knowledge of Operations practices within the CSG Industry
- Sound understanding of Health Safety and Environmental practices,
- Proven competency in using computer-based management systems and Computer skills
- Current driver’s license
