About the role

As Service Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations and services in a shared living home in Woongarrah, Central Coast.

In this role, you will work a front line management position providing direct support to residential clients with allocated administrative days. Using your leadership skills, you will guide and support your team of Community Support Workers in creating a safe and secure home for the residential clients, while providing opportunities to be active participants in the local community where suitable.

Responsibilities include:

- Ensure high-quality services are consistently provided to clients and their families
- Lead and support a team of Community Support Workers
- Oversee and manage daily operations of support services in your home
- Provide coaching and developing opportunities, manage conflict and address performance within your team
- Manual handling, personal care and household tasks such as menu planning, cooking and cleaning
- Work collaboratively with your team on client's individual plans, supporting them to achieve their goals and gain new skills

About you
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within the disability sector or related field
- Minimum Certificate IV in Disability or other relevant tertiary qualifications - disarable
- Experience with behavioural management plans and behaviour concerns
- Demonstrated capacity to manage crises and critical issues and deal with complex and challenging situations
- A sound understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its funding and policy protocols, standards and processes
- Proficient computer literacy skills with the ability to learn new systems
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with families and stakeholders
