**About the Opportunity**:
The Research and Evaluation Assistant is responsible in assisting with the provision of high quality, evaluation, research and service development activities across services provided by Flourish Australia.

This position will work collaboratively with Outcomes and Improvement team members to ensure implementation of planned and coordinated research, evaluation and service development activities consistent with Flourish Australia’s Strategic Plan, Operational Plan, and Outcomes and Improvement Implementation Plan including the Research and Evaluation Plan.
- The key tasks and responsibilities will include but is not limited to:_
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of agreed internal and external research and evaluation projects such as survey development, interviews, focus groups and literature reviews
- Assist in data extraction and creation of project-specific datasets according to agreed and approved study protocols, ensuring confidentiality of consumers and service providers as needed.
- Coordinate the dissemination of evaluation surveys for people who access Flourish Australia’s services and other stakeholders
- Support dissemination, engagement and utilisation of findings from internally and externally led research and evaluation projects
- Assist in coordinating involvement and participation of people who access Flourish Australia’s services and staff in internally and externally led research and evaluation projects
- Assist in the analysis of program evaluation data to agreed and approved evaluation protocol to support the development of an evidence base for our work
- Assist in maintaining and updating the Flourish Australia’s master dataset, including importing, merging/cleaning of data and data quality checks, and the updating of relevant documentation
- Assist in the establishment and identification of program and quality baselines and targets including benchmarking Flourish Australia’s services against best practice models
- Resource the Community Research Advisory Committee activities, including development of agenda, minutes and actions
- Participating in community education, conference, seminar and workshops promoting/representing Flourish Australia and mental health recovery

**Selection Criteria**:
**_ Essential:_**
- Tertiary qualification in a health or human services evaluation or research related field, with a minimum of 1 year relevant experience (as recognised by Flourish Australia).
- Basic knowledge in statistical or database analysis software such as R, SPSS, SAS or NVivo.
- Demonstrated experience in human research design, planning, human research ethics approval processes
- Demonstrated experience is creating accessible reports using quantitative and /or qualitative data and communicating results to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently with mínimal supervision.

**_Desirable:_**
- A carer role or having a personal lived experience of a mental health issue.
