Job Description Summary

Exciting opportunity for Telecommunications Technicians to join our Fixed Communications division working on major NBN projects
About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and install telephones, modems, routers, switchboard and data transmission equipment
- Commission and decommission equipment in roadside cabinets and exchanges including residential, high-rise and commercial buildings
- HFC amplifier installation, signal balancing or realignment
- Hardline and backbone installation
- Technical testing, including sweep test, ingress, down & upstream
- Network noise interference fault finding
- Network terminal device installation

Skills and Experience
- 2-3 years’ working experience in the HFC Telecommunications network
- nbn co. Enable 17A and 18A Network Accreditation
- Valid, manual drivers’ license
- Current CPR & First Aid certification
- Traffic management & working at heights tickets
- Proficiency working with HFC connectors CX50,70,32 etc.
- Working experience with HFC test equipment
- Ability to interpret network schematic designs and ticket work orders
