- Classification: Consumer Service Delivery Level 3 with a salary range of $77,655- $83,569 per annum + Superannuation

Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.

**About your new role**
The Aboriginal Liaison Officer will provide engagement, assessment, stabilisation, navigation and follow up support for people accessing Liverpool HTH. The position will work with all people accessing the centre but will be available to provide a culturally safe response for people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. This position contributes to the understanding of the wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and will work within the team to assist with the development and delivery of social and emotional wellbeing support and cultural awareness and knowledge. It is essential that the successful applicant has significant experience working with, and has connections to, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island communities.

**What you will bring to the role?**
- Experience working with AOD and complex behaviours
- Previous experience working with people who have a mental illness or experienced a mental health crisis including suicidal crisis.
- Experience and knowledge working with consumers that identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and within a team
**What the role requires**:
- National Criminal History Check (Police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
- Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
- Current Drivers licence
- Australian Working Rights
- As part of Neami’s condition of employment you will need to provide appropriate evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (having received three doses) to Neami National.
