Engineering Coordinator

Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is recruiting for an **Engineering Coordinator** to join the brownfield engineering team based in Perth CBD. This is a permanent staff role, working initially on secondment with a key client partner and reporting to the Engineering Manager.

In this pivotal and highly visible role, you will be the engineering focal point embedded within our client’s office, where your primary focus will be the successful execution of the engineering portion of multi-disciplined scopes of work, across a high-profile project portfolio.

As Brownfield Engineer Coordinator, you will lead by example to drive engineering excellence while consistently displaying and enforcing the Wood’s values and behaviours, and commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour, to ensure safe and reliable operations and client satisfaction. What will set you apart will be your proven experience in a similar client facing role as a Lead / Engineering Coordinator / Engineering Manager.

Accountabilities of this role will include:

- Brownfield project engineering coordination and attending key project / engineering meetings
- Providing technical support to the clients engineering teams - directly and / or via engagement of third parties
- Liaising with the clients engineering teams (facility and strategic) to develop SOWs and provide technical and delivery guidance
- Coordinating engineering and start-up aspects of the project portfolio while meeting HSSE, quality, schedule, and budget performance goals
- Technical excellence of the engineering portion of across the portfolio of project needs

Skills / Qualifications:
In addition, your skills and experience will include:

- Exceptional client facing skills and experience in client relationship management
- Proven experience coaching and challenging both leadership and integrated multi-disciplined engineering teams toward high performance
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Exceptional time management skills and be highly organised and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities
- Engineering design and risk management experience with extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)
- Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programs
- An ability to maintain composure under pressure, while delivering within a challenging and complex environment
- A “solutions mindset” embracing innovation and an agile approach to delivering the best possible outcomes
