Childcare Worker

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, review, and implement age-appropriate programs for the children in care.
- Maintain up to date and accurate records of individual children’s progress and observations.
- Supervise activities and responsible for the welfare of the children ensuring consistent, high-quality care.
- Responsible for the creation of a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Delegate tasks and duties to childcare staff members
- Provide responsive care to the children based on their interests and needs.
- To lead planning and the provision of a stimulating range of age-appropriate activities and ensuring the room is well-resources and creatively set up.
- Maintain ongoing communication with children’s parents and caregivers.
- Collaborate with childcare staff and family to ensure that the program promotes children’s learning and is in accordance with the service philosophy and learning outcomes.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the parents/carers that encourage trust and open communication.
- Mentor, guide and support educators and other childcare staff to ensure their performance aligns with the centre’s values, policies, procedures, and outcomes.
- Keep up to date with current information, curriculum and practices in early childhood education and provide this to other childcare staff.
- Ensure compliance with establishment guidelines and OH&S policies to guarantee a safe environment for the children in care.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Hold relevant qualifications.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
