- $71,286 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super + leave loading
- _Please note, progression in remuneration (up to Level 8 - $75,378 inc. allowances + super) is available for this position upon meeting performance and training requirements outlined in a structured crew leader framework._

- Location: Burpengary -_ please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location in the coming months._

As our Crew Leader - Trash Racks working more broadly within the Roads and Drains team, you will lead and work alongside a small team (primarily a labourer) to execute assigned maintenance tasks on Council's end of line storm water treatment devices and drainage infrasturucture.

You'll be taking the lead in identifying and allocating necessary resources/materials for task completion, assisting with the development and review of plans and maintenance schedules and detecting defect causes in assets to propose effective and prompt solutions. Additionally, you'll be required to use technology/software for basic administrative tasks.

More specifically, this position will have you performing a variety of general labouring and operating duties including:

- using hand tools and other equipment as necessary to clear rubbish and debris from end of line devices
- operation of the excavator
- maintaining work orders and other associated documentation
- leading the team on site every day
- maintaining other infrastructure and areas as needed

**About you**

Ideally you will have demonstrated recent hands on experience in a similar position undertaking maintenance involving drainage assets with some experience leading people previously. We'll definitely need you to bring your strong communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders, proven ability to perform manual tasks in safety oriented environments, proficiency with relevant technology and capability to handle basic administrative duties.

Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold:

- a current truck licence (minimum medium rigid - MR)
- Certification in the Operation of Excavator (LE)
- a Construction Induction card (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement)
- a Traffic Management Implementation licence and a high risk work dogging (HRW DG) licence (or be willing to obtain within 6 months of commencement)

Having a Certificate III in Civil Construction or a similar qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable_._ However this qualification is essential for advancing through the Crew Leader Framework.
