**About the Role**

We are looking for an experienced Full Time Team Leader to lead and manage a team providing support to participants with complex needs living in group homes and SIL accommodation.

As Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring that the people you are supporting have meaningful engagement with the community in all its forms and ensuring their complex needs are being met.

You will work hands on with the participants on a shift basis dedicated to supporting and coaching the team, liaising & working together with all relevant stake holders in relation to the participants wellbeing, and service delivery matters and participating in monitoring and evaluation of service performance and participant outcomes.

**The Day to Day**

- Mentor and support a team of mental health and disability support workers.
- Conducting House meetings every month.
- Ensure supports deliver a high-quality, person-centred experience.
- Champion strategic direction and promote and support change initiatives as they occur.
- Provide effective team leadership including supervision, support and mentoring to team members.
- Ensure employee rosters, resources, other expenditure aligns to budgets
- Ensure customer support is person centred and align to customer aspirations. Proactively seek innovative ways to support customer journey.
- Inducting new staff.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of supported independent living houses within your portfolio.
- Ensure each resident is well supported in relation to their daily living activities including personal care, preparation and service of meals, cleaning, laundry, emotional needs and purposeful engagement with a focus on individual customer enablement and independence to enable them to live as normal a life as possible.
- Roster may include mornings, evenings, weekdays and weekends, with an opportunity to build your roster to suit your needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of developmental programs, aligned with each participants goals and aspirations.
- Mentor and support your teams to provide a high level of quality care and services through ongoing mentoring, training, regular performance reviews and where necessary to undertake counselling and disciplinary action.
- Managing COVID safe practices and infection control requirements and implementation of policies.

**As an experienced Team Leader, you will have**:

- Proven experience in leading teams with commitment to ongoing development to build team capability.
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or knowledge and experience.
- Understanding of restrictive practices and reportable incidents.
- Minimum 2 years of Team leader experience in the disability sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of NDIS.
- Ability to actively navigate and adapt to change.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong administration skills
- Valid Victorian Driver Licence
- Current First Aid (Valid for three years)
- Current CPR (Valid for one year)
- Current National Police Check (Valid for one year)
- International Police Check (if you have lived overseas in the last 10 years in any one country for longer than 12 months)
- 100 points ID
- Current Working with Children's Check
- NDIS worker screening clearance
- Minimum two referee checks
- Fully Vaccinated including Booster

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $39.26 - $41.54 per hour
