They are seeking a new Cyber Security Analyst to bring and expand their Threats and Vulnerabilities team. The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for performing security monitoring activities and assisting in the design and implementation information security monitoring platforms.

This hands-on technical role would:

- Build, manage, administer, and maintain all security platforms.
- Build and manage automated workflows.
- Assist cyber incident response, triage IT incidents and undertake incident response.
- Protect corporate websites from bots and other disruptive attacks

**Key accountabilities of this role**
- Responding to security incidents escalated from the service desk and other areas in the organization.
- Define create and maintain proxy policies, implement GRE/IPSec tunnels and manage PAC file changes on Web proxy
- Ensure platforms related incidents are identified, assessed, reported, communicated, mitigated and monitored.
- Raise Change requests and represent in CAB and Release forums
- Tune rules, filters and policies in security platforms to improve accuracy and visibility.
- Identify and collaborate with engineers to understand and build automation to improve workflow.
- Resolve system level problems encountered in production or during releases.
- Assesses and review all network changes and firewall requests.
- Drive upliftment, innovation and availability of all security platforms and configuration for optimum security functions.
- Assisting stakeholders in identifying, initiating, and tracking corrective actions to address anomalies.
- Identifying control deficiencies by analysing and identifying underlying root causes.
- Design, implement and collaborate on a range of cybersecurity metrics.
- Provide high quality documentation and operations SOPs that can be used to share skills and facilitate better planning with platform teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, self-motivated, results-driver and well organized.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts

**Key Skills and Experience Required**
- Experience working in Cyber Security with good understanding of security operations including network security, anti-malware solutions, proxy, encryption, system patching and vulnerabilities and automated policy compliance.
- Experience in IT engineering roles in Windows servers and proxy products supporting various network connection protocols like RDP, SSH, RADIUS, and HTTP.
- Experience in Active Directory, Group Policy administration, analyzing and managing risks of privileged access.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, web protocols and networking concepts.
- Experience with risk management, and patching processes and respective exploit vectors/techniques.
- Good knowledge of scripting and programming languages
- Unix, Python, Powershell.
- Good knowledge of Kasada, Akamai and/or Azure Web Application Firewall configuration and management is preferable.
- Experience in Agile Methodology.
- Knowledgeable in Azure or AWS tenant hosting environment and access control model.
