WorkSafe ACT is a fully independent office headed by the Work Health and Safety Commissioner. WorkSafe ACT achieves its objectives through a combination of compliance and enforcement, awareness raising, education, inspection, and investigation. It is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance by duty holders in accordance with the _Work Health and Safety Act 2011_ (WHS Act) and associated legislation for Workers’ Compensation and Labour Hire Licensing.

The work we do carries with it an obligation to act in the public interest. It requires standards of professional behaviour and conduct from all employees that promote and maintain public confidence and trust in our work.

We have a temporary vacancy available for up to 6 months for a motivated and highly organised professional to fill the role of Young Worker Strategy Coordinator within our Strategy team. The Young Worker Strategy Coordinator represents WorkSafe ACT and coordinates attendance at events.

Please note, this position has moved to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
