Splend is looking for a Maintenance Controller. Reporting to the Head of Fleet, you will help drive Splend forward in its latest phase of growth. You'll oversee Splend's relationships with vehicle repairers to enable maximum vehicle utilisation. It will be your responsibility to manage various relationships with Splend repairers across the country to ensure high quality service in optimum time.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Manage repairs with suppliers and manufacturer to ensure minimum downtime, whilst maintaining cost effectiveness;
- Manage the process that will ensure that all Splend vehicles are serviced at relevant mileage or time intervals;
- Manage the process so that vehicles are sent for warranty and repair in a timely manner;
- Effectively finalise repair costs and follow up on outstanding supplier invoices;
- Generate and present reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis as directed by the business to draw commercial insights;
- Provide recommendation on improvements using evidence based metrics;
- Support the Fleet Coordinator and Fleet Manager in their day to day duties where required;
- Ensure that information in the Fleet Management System is accurate and up to date;
- Provide advice to leadership on trends or anomalies in inspection checklists.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Be a trade qualified Motor Technician
- Experience working from a fleet, procurement or car rental background;
- Intermediate level of capability in MS Office suite of products, specifically Microsoft Excel and organising large amounts of data;
- Experience working with fleet management database systems;
- High level of detail and creating reports to draw commercial insights;
