About the Role
Exciting new opportunity at our SIMON JOHNSON Elizabeth Street store enhancing the customer experience. Our Retail Assistants have a passion for food and customer service. They are able to demonstrate retail or hospitality experience, with an understanding of POS operating systems.
**Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide exceptional customer service at all times - where the customer will have a memorable and meaningful experience in our store.
- Help build the customer base through high levels of customer service and provide extensive product knowledge
- Ensure the store is clean and always looking its best, and work areas, machinery, furniture, utensils, equipment are cleaned and well maintained
- Work within our Quality Assurance standards
- Stock products on shelves are priced and labelled correctly
- Operate POS registers and calculate change manually if required

**Skills and Experience**:

- Prior experience in food retail will be viewed favourably
- Experience in customer service-oriented roles
- POS experience is an advantage
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook).
- Strong work ethic with weekend availability
- Organisational & time management capabilities with a focus on multitasking and reprioritising
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude, proactive and shows initiative and works well under pressure
- A can-do, team-focused attitude is essential for success
- Strong interpersonal skills - ability to liaise confidently with customers and team members - excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail - Accurate key entry skills
