Afternoon Care Teacher

We’re looking for a confident, reliable, fun, and creative person who genuinely loves working with kids You’ll play a key role in supporting our students before and after their classes in a caring, vibrant dance school environment.

This is a **cover position**, with the possibility of ongoing work afterwards—though continued work cannot be guaranteed.

Position Details:

- **Days**: Thursday afternoons
- **Hours**: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
- **Duration**: July 24th - September 26th, 2025 (temporary cover position)
- **Location**: Pia’s Dance and Acro School, Rozelle 2039

**About the Role**:
Your role will be to supervise and look after a group of children. You will need to arrive at the studio at about 2:45-2:50 pm, so we can walk over to Rozelle Public School and pick up the children at 3 pm, then safely walk them back to the studio. There we will provide them afternoon tea, and they will get ready for class.

After that, you will be downstairs supervising, playing with, and looking after children before and after their class time.

**Your Tasks Will Include**:

- Supervising play, playing with children and keeping the calm between them.
- Helping children pack away toys and activities during class transitions and at the end of the day.
- Greeting parents with warmth and professionalism.
- Cleaning up after afternoon tea (provided at the studio), washing up plates and bowls or using the dishwasher.
- Assisting kids with getting changed and ready for class.
- Helping keep noise levels low and keeping the children relatively calm.
- Packing and cleaning up studio at end of day, so it is ready to be used by others.

**Requirements**:

- Basic first aid knowledge (preferred)
- Working With Children Check (required)
- ABN would be good, but as this is a short cover period, it's okay if you don't have one.
- Experience in childcare, babysitting, or some form of working with children
- Available to cover the entire time period.

Pay: $24.10 - $28.00 per hour
