**How will I help?**

Global Transaction Services (GTS) offers liquidity, payments, and digital products to customers throughout Westpac and Regional Brands. The GTS business is undertaking a significant transformation of pricing and product. For pricing, this entails transforming our billing strategies, processes and controls, and fees. For product, it is the delivery of initiatives to support the execution of the GTS Payments strategy.

The role exists to collaboratively solve business problems by sourcing, transforming and analysing large amounts of data to provide actionable information, insight and advice leading to value creation. The insights provided will be critical inputs into the transformation activities.

Further to this, the role will embed ongoing change to processes and operations, for ongoing specialist pricing & product analytical models that support the continued growth and success of the business.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide trusted analysis, actionable insights and advice on how to support pricing transformation initiatives.
- Scoping and designing data analytics approaches, and plans to execute on analysis.
- Data extraction and preparation of reports and presentations to present recommendations, insights to aid in data-driven decision making.
- Use data warehousing and database management software, including PowerBI, Tableau, SQL / Teradata, SAS.
- Acquire and share knowledge of competitor offerings and industry trends and innovations in pricing strategies for institutional transactional banking products and services.
- Research pricing model options and alternatives for GTS Products, across segments.
- Perform ongoing monitoring and analysis of product performance, pricing and customer engagement data to provide high quality advice to improve product growth and performance, and to identify growth opportunities and pricing requirements for products.

**What do I need?**

To be successful in this role you will have prior experience in a data analytics role, ideally within the banking or financial industry.

You will have strong analytical skills, with experience in delivering in a high attention to detail environment and working experience with SQL, PowerBI & Teradata.

You will have prior experience with data warehousing and the ability to prepare and deliver on actionable insights.

Additionally, you may have the following:

- Experience with SAS / Think-cell / Python
- GTS product or payments knowledge
- Experience with agile project delivery
- Relevant tertiary education - IT, statistics, quantitative analytics, economics, science, mathematics, information systems
