Our client has been awarded a large chunk of work in Perth building and upgrading the NBN Telecommunications network. They are now on a large recruitment drive in Perth for experienced Civil Workers / Labourers who possess the required experience necessary to complete all civil tasks successfully

You will have at least 2 years of experience as a Skilled Labourer or Civil Labourer, and capable and competent to undertake assigned works with mínimal direct supervision. Ideally in the past you would have worked on the NBN project installing telecommunications pits, dig and laying pipes, carrying out civil reinstatement, and operating machines such as excavators and directional drills.

**Day to day duties**:

- Work onsite/in field as part of one or multiple crews daily.
- Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.
- Willing and able to work away from home from time to time.
- Communicate/report on scheduled works changes to Field Supervisor.
- Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities).
- Works in coordination with related 3rd parties such as landowners and regulatory authorities (e.g., power utility, council & transport).
- Trenching, digging and pipe laying
- Installation of Telecommunications pits
- Reinstatement of concrete

**About You**
- Current drivers licence
- Construction OH&S Induction Card.
- Experience in civil labouring.
- Experience in an Infrastructure Services environment.
- Experience in Excavator Operations.
- Experience in concrete restoration.
- Experience in pit & conduit installations.
- Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and asset management systems an advantage.
- Ability to interpret construction plans & documents
- Good communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to respond calmly and decisively during a major incident or emergency
