- ** About the job**:
As a Trade Assistant at Kent, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Tradespeople with various tasks, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects. Your responsibilities will include supporting Tradespeople, maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring a safe working environment

Your responsibilities:

- Work closely with skilled tradespeople of various disciplines providing assistance with their duties as directed.
- Duties can include; set up of equipment and tooling for tradespersons, housekeeping of work fronts, spotting duties, forklift duties, firewatch and sentry duties.
- Keep tools and equipment clean and well-maintained, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for use.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and supplies, ensuring they are properly organized and stored.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, disposing of waste and debris properly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with potentially hazardous materials and equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines.
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers;
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

**Mandatory**:

- RIIWHS204 Work at Heights competency - (within previous 2 years)
- RIIWHS202 Enter and work in a Confined Space (within previous 2 years)
- Construction White Card
- Valid Australian Driver’s License
