The quantitative analyst sits within the Perpetual Private Investment Research Team and will be responsible for the governance, reporting and analytics on the performance of Perpetual Private’s various investment portfolios. The analyst will provide quantitative and technical support to the Perpetual Private Investment Research team and Perpetual Private Direct Equities team to support investment research, portfolio management, performance reporting, and adviser and client collateral. In addition, the quantitative analyst will assist under the direction of the Investment Team, the day-to-day portfolio management activities for/on behalf of the investment portfolios.

- Accurate and timely research communications, key client collateral and sales material
- Bespoke client portfolio reporting, performance vs benchmarks, attribution and cash flow reporting
- Performance and analytic data for collateral and to support asset class and manager research
- Quantitative data from various sources to support the research, collateral and distribution requirements of the team
- Financial and performance models to support accurate and timely research communications, key client collateral and sales material
- Quantitative analysis and support to investment specialists for tenders and client pitches

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience could include:

- Demonstrated quantitative background (e.g. quantitative finance, actuarial studies, econometrics, sciences, and engineering)
- Demonstrable experience in analysing multi-asset class funds and investments
- 2-5 years’ experience in investment and wealth management industry in relevant investment, analytic and performance related roles
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. Power Query and VBA a bonus.
- Intermediate/Advanced Word, Powerpoint
- Familiarity with data analysis and database methods. Experience with programming languages are desirable, e.g. SQL, R, MATLAB. Ability to write structured codes that are easy to manage and to share with the rest of the team will set you apart
