**EL1 Assistant Director, Digital Community (APS Mobility Opportunity)**:

The Library is seeking to fill the **Assistant Director, Digital Community Role (EL1)** on a non-ongoing basis for a period of 3 months with the possibility of extension to 6 months.

Step into the dynamic role of Assistant Director, Digital Community, within the Communications Section of the National Library of Australia for three months, with the possibility of extension.
In this role you will lead the implementation of the Digital Community team’s newly developed Digital Channel and Content Strategy for the National Library of Australia and Trove. This leadership position requires high-level capability in managing a team of talented professionals, including graphic design and brand experts, website content creators and publishers, and social media and communication specialists.

You will guide the team to deliver seamless customer experiences across web-based channels while developing and maintaining online digital and community platforms. Your responsibilities encompass strategic planning, performance management, coaching and identifying development needs. This role offers the opportunity to drive community engagement, and forge strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance the National Library of Australia's reputation and digital presence.

**The Opportunity**

This role is only available to ongoing National Library of Australia and APS employees as a temporary transfer at level and/or a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 3 months with possible extension to 6 months.
