**About the role**:
The Deputy CEO is a true “second in charge” role, representing the CEO with key stakeholders and committees, ensuring progress is made with strategy implementation and key projects. This role will be an important advisor to the CEO and ELT during a period of change and transformation and will have regular interface with the board. Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the development and implementation of significant and complex capital works projects, including oversight of major approved redevelopments and business case preparation for further phases in the future
- Strategic decision-making which represents the organisation’s best interests during project design and implementation, seizing opportunities to boost future business sustainability and progress the organisation’s transformation agenda
- Oversight of corporate teams including finance, IT, asset management, and redevelopment project teams
- Lead and deliver revenue-generating strategies in conjunction with the rest of the ELT.
- Deliver outcomes that boost financial sustainability.
- In conjunction with the ELT, make data-driven decision making core to growth, while elevating customer experiences to new levels
- Assess and improve the information technology landscape through successful investment cases and delivery of associated program of works.
- Leadership of business continuity and crisis management plans and procedures.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across government, industry, key donors and stakeholders and the commercial sector, developing a thorough understanding of their needs and expectations.

The incoming Deputy CEO must have strong commercial acumen and understand how to operationalise a strategy across a complex organisation. Key selection criteria includes:

- Demonstrated experience a broad leadership role, managing multiple corporate functions, including finance, IT and operations
- Leading capital projects and advising ELT concerning decisions concerning infrastructure/development/facilities management.
- Previous leadership of transformation projects impacting whole-of-organisation or community
- Innovative problem solver, capable of building a team who can achieve outcomes in a complex and dynamic operating environment.
- Authentic and values-led leader with a proven track-record of the courage to lead by example
- CPA/CA qualifications would be highly regarded.
