**About the Role**:
BHP’s Maintenance Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE) is the coming together of a dedicated, innovative team focused on identifying, achieving and maintaining the highest standards in maintenance for BHP globally.
As a Principal Capability Development, you will support key stakeholders in coaching and leading the design and deployment of initiatives aimed at improving Maintenance capability. In addition, you will support the delivery of learning and development solutions in order to sustainably achieve measurable improvement in Maintenance performance.
Reporting to Manager Capability, your key responsibilities will also include:
- Supporting Maintenance leaders of large, high impact sites to assess capability of Maintenance professionals through the use of tools and techniques relevant to the Functional Capability Framework.
- Analysing available information to support in the identification of capability gaps, conduct Capability planning and develop Capability Plans for large, high impact sites.
- Monitoring execution (and effectiveness) of Capability Plans at large, high impact sites through analysis of information.
- Coaches line leaders to enable leader-led professional development within the Maintenance function.
- Project managing assigned MECoE capability initiatives (including continuous improvement work).
**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and skilled professional with outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You are team oriented, and results focused with genuine passion for L & D as well as mentoring and coaching others to achieve results.
In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:
- A technical background in Maintenance or Learning and Development will be highly desirable.
- Previous experience gained with a mining or large maintenance environment.
- An understanding of development frameworks for leaders, specialists and tradespeople.
- Demonstrated experience developing capability in a large complex business environment; and
- The ability to work with content experts to translate required outcomes into effective learning solutions.
**Location**:
In this full-time permanent position, you will be base at Brisbane corporate office and working on Monday-Friday roster. Secondment option is also can be discuss for BHP Internal applicants.
