We are currently looking to recruit a Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Instructor (Maintenance Technician) to be located in Alderley, Insitu Pacific head office is less than 20 minutes from Brisbane CBD.
The Opportunity
As the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Instructor - Maintenance you will beprimarily responsible for reviewing, updating, delivering and evaluating RPAS training, across Pilot and Maintenance Technician courses for staff and customers in Australia and overseas. From time to time the RPAS Instructor will also support the Flight Operations Team on domestic and international assignments.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Reviewing training syllabuses, class rosters, students training records and courseware requirements.
- Determining daily instructional needs / objectives and adjusting content and delivery as necessary.
- Identifying and scheduling training resources to include facilities, hardware/equipment, and flight time availability.
- Verifying that all resources and daily training content is compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements and maintenance standards.
- Conducting classroom, practical, flight and simulation instruction and demonstrating maintenance procedures and practices in both formal and field environments for Pilot and/or Maintenance Technician courses.
- Assigning student work, administering informal student assessments, performing remedial instruction and completing daily student records and other required documentation.
- May administer Pilot and/or Maintenance Technician written, oral, practical, flight and simulation student assessments.

To be successful in the role you will require the following experience/qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and work experience as an Instructor.
- Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) and Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate.
- Knowledge of RPAS to include air vehicle, ground segments (e.g., ground stations and mission plans) and supportability.
- Knowledge and skills of maintenance processes and procedures, tools, troubleshooting techniques and standards.
- Knowledge and ability to utilise crew resource management, weight and balance calculations, navigation procedures, airspace, meteorology, air vehicle performance data, communication operations, flight planning, industry regulations, and operator skills.
- Possession of a valid Australian Open (Manual) Driver License.
- Ability to operate in remote national and international locations.

Desirable
- Either a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and have passed a CASA Instrument Rating Examination (IREX) or Instrument Rating qualification, in order to perform RPAS Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations.
- Possession of a Certificate or Diploma in Aeroskills (Mechanical / Avionics).
- Possession of a Diploma in Training Design and Development and/or experience as an Instructional Designer.
