About the Role
As the Manager - Capability, Teacher Learning Centre you will have responsibility for the following:
- Facilitate and/or coordinate the delivery of professional development programs for early career teachers in Teacher Learning Centre supported schools, in collaboration with relevant principals, regional support, as well as a range of additional internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate mentoring and coaching support programs for beginning teachers within the relevant Teacher Learning Centre supported schools.
- Provide school context for the Teacher Learning Centre project and other managers to ensure beginning and early career teachers can develop understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and lead activities to ensure continuous improvement and holistic innovation in the delivery of high quality services.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to promote collaboration, communication and information sharing, as well as the ability to leverage, connect and/or create excellent communities of practice within the Teacher Learning Centre supported schools.
- Manage the Teacher Learning Centre resources and adhere to project governance requirements as per the operating framework, in order to effectively report on the Teacher Learning Centre's performance.
**Eligibility requirements**:
- You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award - State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments.
- Employees' engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36¼ hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 7.4 of the Department of Education State School Teachers Certified Agreement 2019.
