**Position Overview**:
We are a disability support provider dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities gain independence and live the life they deserve. Our services are designed to provide comprehensive support and assistance to those who need help so they can lead independent, fulfilling lives.
We are seeking a dedicated Worker to join our team. This individual will undertake a diverse range of responsibilities including gardening, cleaning, transportation of people, meal preparation, and providing support to NDIS participants with a variety of needs. You will contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of our facilities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency while ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our NDIS participants.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Gardening**:
- Maintain outdoor spaces including lawns, gardens, and flowerbeds.
- Plant, water, weed, and fertilize as necessary.
- Prune trees and shrubs for health and appearance.
2. **Cleaning**:
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas, both indoors and outdoors.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface disinfection.
- Dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces regularly.
3. **Transportation of People**:
- Safely transport individuals, including NDIS participants, between locations as required.
- Drive company vehicles responsibly, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles used for transportation.
4. **Meal Preparation**:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals for staff, clients, or events.
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment.
5. **Supporting NDIS Participants**:
- Provide assistance and support to NDIS participants with various needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of participants.
- Collaborate with other team members and external stakeholders to meet the individual needs of participants.
**Qualifications**:
- Up-to-date CPR certification
- Working with Children's Check certification.
- Experience working with NDIS participants with diverse needs preferred.
- Valid driver's license
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and participant well-being.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
**Additional Information**:
- This is a [full-time/part-time/contract] position.
- Hourly Rate $25.00 -$35.00 an hour
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
