**About the Role**:
Symphony Music is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic **Instrumental Music Teacher** to teach **guitar and piano** to primary school students at a partner school in **Ipswich**. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant, student-focused music program with strong administrative support and a clear structure.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Proactively liaise with school staff to organise teaching schedules, including checking for public holidays, pupil-free days, and school events that may affect lessons
- Deliver engaging **guitar and piano lessons** to primary-aged students, tailored to individual learning needs and abilities
- Maintain respectful, timely communication with parents regarding student progress, practice expectations, and lesson reminders
- Coordinate and conduct trial lessons for new students as required
- Plan and organise at least one student performance or concert annually
- Complete and submit brief, clear student progress reports at the end of each semester
- Record student attendance weekly using Symphony Music’s tracking system
- Notify both parents and the company promptly in the event of an absence, and arrange a make-up lesson or credit where applicable
- Adhere to all school policies, including dress code and appropriate professional conduct

**Note**: Some of these responsibilities, such as trial lessons, report writing, and concert coordination, are paid separately in addition to teaching hours. Further details will be discussed during the interview.

**About You**:

- Confident teaching both **guitar and piano** at a beginner to intermediate level
- Experienced working with **primary school students**:

- Organised, reliable, and proactive in communication
- Able to maintain a professional and friendly rapport with students, staff, and parents
- Holds (or is eligible for) a valid **Blue Card**:

- Holds an **ABN** and has **public liability insurance** (or is willing to obtain both)
- **Transport**: Due to limited public transport in the area, having your own vehicle or reliable transport is essential for this role.
