About the role
As the newest member of our team, the Analyst will contribute to the Investment Solutions business by supporting our operations, research, and trade execution efforts.
The role will involve the execution, booking and post-trade management of client trades, and require a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about both the exposures and operational aspects of derivative products.
Additionally, the Analyst will assist with the preparation of investment ideas and research materials for clients.
About the team & environment
The Solutions team provides investment advice and execution services to Australian super funds and designs and creates investment products for institutional investors. The team also manage the Spectrum Systematic Alpha Fund, a multi-strategy, cross asset systematic hedge fund. We are a small but dynamic team, constantly seeking new opportunities to expand our business.
You’ll enjoy the blend of working in an environment which is collaborative, working towards broader team goals together, whilst having day-to-day autonomy to manage your own portfolio of work, using your initiative, and taking responsibility for your own tasks within the team.
The skills you’ll need
To be successful in role you’ll already have 2-3 years’ experience at either a bank, fund manager or similar institution and you’ll have some level of familiarity with financial markets and instruments across multiple asset classes including derivatives.- Tertiary education with strong GPA - finance or similar field preferred but not essential.- Familiarity with the operational workflows associated with financial market transactions and portfolio management (trade booking, confirmations, life-cycle events, portfolio monitoring etc).- Familiarity with derivatives and financial markets in general.- A strong work ethic and willingness to be a ‘self-starter’ in finding ways to support the team.
