**Location - Kilcoy**

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this role will see you managing NATA accredited laboratory with a team of four (4) laboratory technicians, while ensuring a consistent delivery of quality results to Kilcoy Global Foods internal and external customers.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have experience a minimum of 3 plus years’ experience operating in a NATA/DAFF approved Microbiology laboratory.

**You will also**:

- Be tertiary qualified
- Have previous laboratory management experience
- Be able to demonstrate management and maintenance knowledge of NATA accreditation in a microbiology laboratory
- Have extensive experience in performing routine food microbiology analysis
- Have a high attention to detail with a quality focus
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with all levels of the organization
- Be a team player with strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to prioritise multiple tasks to achieve deadlines
- Be competent in the Microsoft Office product suite

**Highly regarded**:

- Previous experience with PCR methods ie GDS / BAX and confirmation of pathogens.
- Previous method development experience including verification and validation
- Previous experience in a similar environment (meat processing / food manufacturing) will be highly regarded
