The opportunity

Based at our Melbourne Airport operations you will have oversight across the Victorian and Tasmanian Team Global Express sites with varying levels of precision automation and complex conveyor systems. Sortation and engineering systems are at the heart of the operation and have direct impacts on our commercial and customer performance. You will have maintenance supervisors and technicians in your structure focusing on preventative and corrective maintenance. Continuing to build and develop this team and leading a positive culture will be a critical success factor.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensuring Team Global Express safety policies and processes are always followed by the maintenance function.- Continuously improving up-time and reducing breakdown frequency through the implementation of continuous improvement ideas.- Maintenance standards, HSE results, recruitment, technicians development.- Setting objectives for teams and individuals that align with the strategic plan and review and reward performance formally.- Workshop KPI’s, Inventory and stock levels.- Managing relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.

You will have experience across high speed sortation or automation facilities in logistics, food, FMCG or automotive is the ideal background however all relevant skills and experience will be considered. You will be a strong leader of people with experience in change management. This role requires a strong ability to deal with varied members of staff and technicians across the region.
