Group Leasing Manager

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Real Estate, this is a unique opportunity for a Group Leasing Manager to join one of Australia's largest Lifestyle Brand Houses, overseeing our five iconic brands - Country Road, MIMCO, Politix, Trenery & Witchery. You will lead and mentor the leasing team to deliver leasing outcomes including; new store negotiations & commercially favourable renewals, all whilst meeting financial hurdles and mitigating commercial risk. Maintaining strong networks within the retail and leasing market is essential for this role in order to maintain a deep knowledge of market conditions, supporting strong and effective negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to bi-annual leasing strategy workshop and Landlord portfolio reviews with CEO, Finance and Brands to set store by store strategy for upcoming renewals
- Lead fortnightly brand real estate strategy meetings to review and workshop commercials for new stores and renewals
- Highlight renewal risks and develop strategy by centre to maximise commercial outcomes for the group
- Document and share market rental data and shopping centre movements to support strategy for upcoming renewals
- In accordance with the approved Real Estate Strategy, oversee negotiations for all retail store leases.
- Oversee business case proposals for all new stores and renewals ensuring that key commercial and brand hurdles are met
- Partner closely with the Store Design & Development team to collaborate for commercial outcomes whilst consistently reflecting on ways of working for improvements and efficiencies
- Provide ongoing opportunities for the team to engage socially, to learn from each other and collaborate on strategic and operational initiatives
- Strong industry experience and a proven track record in leadership, and relevant degree
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
